We are looking to recruit a Dental Nurse to our busy and diverse team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with our Maxillofacial outpatient department comprising of a number of specialist areas such as Orthodontics, Orthognathics, Head & Neck Cancers and Trauma and Minor Oral Surgery.
If you are successfully appointed to this role, you will be eligible for a two stage New Starter Premium of £1500 in total.
Main duties of the job
* Assist with clinicians in orthodontics
* Help with running Maxillofacial and Head and neck Oncology clinics
* Help with facial trauma clinics
* Assist clinicians with Minor Oral Surgery

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
* To provide specialist nursing support to maxillofacial clinicians, Orthodontists and hospital practitioners, within the department.
* To work as part of a team to provide a safe, effective, efficient care environment for patients, relatives and carers. Under supervision, be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care. An expectation to be able to demonstrate procedures and supervise unqualified staff, and work without direct supervision.
* Honour the Trust’s Core Values by demonstrating appropriate behaviours and encouraging this in others.
* Apply the principles of the GDC Code at all times.
* Demonstrate commitment to quality patient care through effective team working.
