What you'll be doing:
Within our Mechanical Solutions division, our Mechanical Technicians play a key role in operations of subsea cutting, dredging, and cleaning equipment. This is a engaging and dynamic opportunity that offers you a fundamental role in offshore and onshore operations.
You will operate, maintain, function test and repair cutting-edge technology while traveling offshore for client projects. When not working offshore, you will be present at our thriving workshop in Thainstone, Aberdeenshire, assisting with maintenance and repairs. You will also participate in onshore operational and training activities and any other relevant tasks as needed.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
* Safely operating all equipment at the worksite in line with Mechanical Solutions QHSE policies and procedures
* Identifying potential hazards at the worksite, taking into account the surroundings and the prevailing meteorological conditions, while collaborating with QHSE to assist in investigations and reporting of failures, NCRs, and OFIs
* Coordinating with the client's representative during offshore trips to plan, organise, and execute the job
* Participating in toolbox talks, as well as pre- and post-job review meetings, ensuring risk assessments are completed and reviewed, and implementing corrective actions for NCRs and customer complaints
* Completing all required paperwork in a timely manner, including but not limited to maintenance reports, project reports, cutting logs, timesheets, expenses, customer satisfaction surveys, damage reports, and preventive actions
What experience you'll bring:
* HNC or higher in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent industry experience
* Prior experience in subsea offshore operations, particularly in IRM and decommissioning, repair, maintenance, and testing in a subsea environment
* Experience in operating subsea cutting, dredging, and cleaning tools, with a preference for abrasive experience
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* A team-oriented attitude, with a willingness to actively contribute and get involved
