Job Title: Fostering Assistant Team Manager
Location: Leyland, Lancashire
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time (2-3 days office based per week)
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000
We are working with an independent fostering agency in the North West who are currently looking for a dedicated and experienced Fostering Assistant Team Manager to join their team and make a positive impact on the lives of children and families.
The post will have a focus on process, quality and compliance; the agency is on a journey to outstanding and our vision/values align with this objective. You will work with the Regional Manager and ensure the region is Ofsted-ready in terms of their KPIs, and in gathering evidence that supports the good work undertaken by the team, and the positive outcomes for children.

Key Responsibilities of a Fostering Assistant Team Manager:
1. To work in close liaison with the Regional Manager to develop the fostering service in a specified regional area and manage the Supervising Social Workers in the region.
2. Support the Regional Manager to ensure the fostering service is financially viable for the purpose of achieving the aims and objectives set out in the Statement of Purpose.
3. Adhere to relevant legislation, regulation, and company policies and procedures to work consistently with the agency’s core values and deliver best practice standards of work to ensure that all services for young people are delivered to a high standard across the region while maintaining a system for improving the quality of foster care provided.
4. Support the Regional Manager to produce monthly reports on all areas of the Agency and provide feedback on these reports to the Operations Director, as well as complete annual reports for the Fostering Panel.
5. Support the Regional Manager in ensuring that any reports required by Ofsted or other third-party organisations are completed to agreed timescales and quality standards.
6. Keep abreast of new legislation, guidance, policy direction, effective good practice, and research in order to continually improve good practice within the Agency.
7. Maintain a child-centered approach, fundamental to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of every child, keeping the child in focus when making decisions about their lives and working in partnership with them and their families.
Qualifications and Experience for a Fostering Assistant Team Manager:
1. Possess a recognised and accredited social work qualification with Social Work England registration.
2. Knowledge of Ofsted, National Minimum Standards for Fostering Services, and Fostering Services Regulations.
3. Sound understanding and practice around safeguarding children.
4. Excellent communication and administrative skills.
5. Ability to run the day-to-day practice of the fostering agency.
6. Ability to oversee, match, and manage referrals in making placements.
7. Maintain positive relationships with placing Local Authorities.
8. Ability to review and monitor outcomes.
9. Driving License: Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
