Repairs and Compliance Manager - Stoke - Permanent opportunity

A Housing Association who provide and manage a range of housing and accommodation services in Stoke-on-Trent are seeking to appoint a Repairs and Compliance Manager. The organisation offer diverse support services for people at risk of, or currently experiencing homelessness, people facing mental health challenges, and people with Learning Disabilities across Staffordshire. The role will involve managing their Repairs and Compliance service as well as line management of a small team. The role is Mon-Fri full time and will pay £38,500 + package (potentially negotiable for the right candidate.
Your new role Duties and Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage and oversee the repairs and maintenance, building management/cleaning and compliance function, in line with the association’s visions and values.
2. Ensure health and safety across responsible areas.
3. Work with the Director to embed change and assess future structure of the teams.
4. Direct line management of team.
5. Prepare, manage, and monitor budget spend and ensured value for money is being achieved.
6. Ensure KPI’s targets are met and implemented measures to maintain consistency.
7. Analyse trends related to repair works and repair spend and produce reports for Board and Directors.
8. Management of external contractor’s and their performance.
9. Dealt with customer complaints to a satisfactory resolution.
10. Work with internal staff/lead in the procurement of products/ services with a view to achieve value for money.
11. Support the introduction of new system changes and data for asset and wider information.
12. Ensure compliance and all relevant information is updated and reviewed.
13. Ensured the repairs service meets current legislative and regulatory requirements.
14. Worked closely with Senior Management to ensure delivery of strategic corporate objectives.
15. Carried out inspection of works where required to help diagnose defects and ensured these are issued, carried out and completed within time and budget.
16. Carried out post inspection of percentage of repair works to monitor quality and performance of contractor’s.
17. Manage void properties and ensured that works are scheduled and completed to meet the required regulatory and re-let standard.
18. Manage and oversee cyclical works to include external painting program and all required legal compliance areas.
19. Managed and oversee the delivery of planned repair works.
20. Authorise and sign off invoices.
