Our vision is to make New Zealand the healthiest nation in the world and we're looking for a Director of Facility Design to join our team and help us continue on this journey as we increase our footprint throughout New Zealand.
The person occupying this role will be responsible for managing the overall design and functionality of our facilities including but not limited to internal design, lighting, audio/visual, flooring, and signage. The successful candidate will work with the internal operations team and various external contractors to ensure all designs meet operational, aesthetic, and budgetary requirements.
The successful candidate will possess a general background in overall facility design, with an ability to develop and interpret basic construction documents. They must also have meticulous attention to detail with strong process and people management.
Whilst not exhaustive, below is a snapshot of the responsibilities of the role.
Design
* Develop overall facility design specifications to meet operational, aesthetic, and budgetary requirements.
* Work with various third-party vendors and department heads to coordinate the scoping of any design related projects and initiatives.
* Ensure that all products and materials used within the overall facility design are fit for purpose and cost effective.
Internal systems integrations
* Work with the internal operations team and necessary third-party vendors to ensure that any internal system integrations related to the overall facility design meet operational requirements.
* Oversee any internal systems related to the overall facility design needed to ensure business continuity and compliance to agreed standards.
* Maintain close working relationships with all internal stakeholders and third-party vendors.
* Create and maintain clear and open lines of communication and escalation pathways.
* Maintain accountability to all agreed key performance metrics and SLAs.
