What's the Mission?
We’re looking for a talented and driven Commercial Manager to join our Commercial Operations Team. Your mission? To play a pivotal role in shaping our commercial strategy, driving profitability, and ensuring the perfect balance of market share, price, and product mix. As the Commercial Gatekeeper, you’ll ensure seamless collaboration across trading, finance, marketing, and data management. You’ll safeguard commercial processes, manage pricing updates, and guide critical decisions using data-driven insights. Whether it’s overseeing price increases, tenders, or term negotiations, you’ll be at the forefront of driving efficiency and accuracy in our operations.
This role offers the opportunity to lead pricing strategies for our domestic imported products, monitor market trends, and deliver actionable intelligence that sharpens our competitive edge. You’ll also support the development of dashboards and performance metrics, using your analytical expertise to identify opportunities and challenges that influence commercial strategy. Beyond the numbers, you’ll deliver exceptional customer support, helping maintain our reputation for excellence and fostering strong client relationships.
With a focus on continuous improvement, you’ll collaborate on innovative projects that enhance our processes and align with the broader Commercial Excellence strategy. Additionally, your leadership will indirectly impact team development, as you upskill colleagues and support forecasting activities that ensure accurate demand planning.

Mission Critical Skills
1. Commercial Experience: A proven track record in a commercial sales role.
2. Exceptional Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: You’re confident in your ability to make data-driven decisions that drive growth.
3. Data Expertise: Proficiency with data analysis and reporting tools is essential.
4. Strong Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders and support our customers.
5. Commercial Acumen: A deep understanding of market dynamics, pricing, and profitability.
6. Leadership Qualities: You’ll inspire and upskill others as you lead indirectly.
7. Experience in the UK landscaping or construction products sector.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
1. Knowledge of Marshalls Trading policies, pricing systems, and products.
2. Insights into production methods and their impact on supply costs and margins.
