OTR are looking for an engaging, knowledgeable and dedicated Youth Transition Worker to join the new Mental Health and Wellbeing Integrated Network Team (MINT) in North & West Bristol. You will be part of an exciting new Young People’s Transition Service within the MINT team, holding a caseload of up to 25 young people who are transitioning from Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) but don’t meet the threshold for Adult Mental Health Services (AMHS).
The role has a particular focus on building relationships and supporting young people through a period of transition and the challenges that can arise as a result of this. The role requires a creative approach to engaging and supporting young people who often present with risk and have potentially struggled to engage with interventions such as talking therapies. An ability to build therapeutic relationships with young people from a variety of cultures and backgrounds is paramount to this role. The role requires good knowledge of the local community and the ability to identify and support young people in accessing appropriate support. The role will also involve delivering a variety of psychoeducational interventions informed by a variety of therapeutic approaches.
You will be supported in the role through regular supervision and reflective practice, as well as access to MINT and OTR training opportunities. OTR offers a generous annual leave package and a holistic wellbeing support package upon successful completion of probationary period.
This role will be based in North & West Bristol and travel within the Bristol area will be required. Due to this, access to suitable transport is essential (a car, a bike, willingness to use public transport etc).
