Want to lead your own Agriculture Sales division, build it your way, and step into a Head of Sales role with a leadership role by 2027?
What you’ll be doing
You’ll be building something from scratch, your strategy, your customers, your decisions, your name behind the growth.
And yes, we mean actual ownership, not the pretend kind where they give you a patch and still tell you how to run it.
You’ll be creating your company’s UK agriculture sales division from the ground up, a brand-new role.
No specialists here yet. No sales legacy to inherit. No “we’ve always done it this way” to slow you down. Your knowledge will be unique in your new company.
Just a wide open space and a €400M global business backing you to go and make it work.
The last division your company launched in the UK? It grew from £2M to £7M in 5 years. Same blueprint, same leadership, same level of support from a global market leader that makes a habit of dominating every market they get involved with.
Now it’s agriculture’s turn in the UK.
If you get the division to £1.5M by 2027, the plan is already in place: Head of Sales (Agriculture), team under you, full leadership responsibility.
It’s not a vague “there’s room to grow” promise; it’s a mapped-out next step.
Just like Sean, who joined as a Sales Manager 2.5 years ago and now runs an entire channel as of this month.
You’ll also have something salespeople rarely get: trust. No inherited KPIs, no rigid structure, and no one hovering over your pipeline asking for daily updates.
As your new manager, Richard put it, "You're not going to be micromanaged at all and you can do what you think is going to work."
It’s 90% new business, so this isn’t a role for someone who wants to cruise through someone else’s client list.
You’ll inherit a handful of accounts worth around £300k, including one that’s doing over £200k already, but this role is about growth, not farming accounts.
However, your role will evolve into a more hybrid role as you bring on new accounts.
The best part? You won’t be thrown in and asked to deliver £1M in month one.
You’ve got a six-month runway with no revenue target, giving you the space to get under the skin of the sector, build your pipeline, and line things up properly.
By 2026, the target is £1M. By 2027, £1.5M and a promotion into leadership.
You’ll be selling high-quality chemical dosing and pumping systems to agriculture customers.
You’ll be on the road 3 to 4 days a week with travel to the head office once every 4-6 weeks, and while you’ll be generating your own leads, you’ll have help support from a sales admin, and marketing team for additional leads and a technical team on the product side.
Where you’ll be doing it
Your company is a global manufacturer of chemical dosing and pump systems, with a track record of dominating every market it enters.
In the last five years, it’s doubled in size, globally from €200M to over €400M, and in the UK from £2M to £7M.
The secret? A simple model: take what works, make it better, and sell it cheaper.
For you, that means confidence in every call, offering high-quality products at unbeatable prices.
Spot a gap in the market? The business is agile enough to act on it. You’ll have the chance to shape new products and help create solutions your customers need.
You have a USP built on price, quality and agility.
Their last UK division was so successful in the UK that it pushed all their competitors out of the market, this is the same story globally and how they have achieved such huge growth numbers.
When asked why people stay, your leader put it simply:
“Because they get looked after.
It’s not just about sales figures. If you’ve got the right attitude, we’ve got your back.
People stay because they’re trusted, supported, and not under constant pressure.
We’ve had people move up, sideways, even into roles that didn’t exist when they joined.
It’s not corporate. It’s not political. You work hard, you’re looked after.
That’s the deal.”
What Skills You'll Need to Apply
* 4+ experience in agriculture sales.
* You’re a natural hunter.
* You can work independently..
* You’re happy to travel on the road 3-4 days per week
However…
If you’re not ready to own a division, be fully accountable for building it, work independently, manage your own diary, and travel regularly (3–4 days a week on the road), this role probably isn’t for you.
Also, this role is initially heavy on the new business side, you’ll be someone who enjoys that dynamic otherwise this role probably is not the right fit for you.
