Role Description
The Opportunity:
Princes Bradford is our largest drinks manufacturing site in the UK, producing 26 million cases of Dilute and Carbonated drinks per year for retail sale and well-known brands. We have established a partnership with Capri-Sun, which will bring the production of this iconic brand to our Bradford site. Initial production on 2 lines started in October, and by March, there will be 4 lines, each capable of 20,000 pouches per hour, operating year-round.
Due to this expansion, we are looking for multiple Production Operatives passionate about manufacturing and committed to continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment. Applications are open, with interviews ongoing throughout December and beyond.
What you become part of:
Bradford Operations is the largest drinks plant in Princes. This role is within a new area dedicated to co-manufacture of Capri Sun, with 4 lines each capable of 20,000 pouches per hour. We seek high-caliber, experienced operators or individuals with the right background to train and lead within an autonomous team environment.
What to expect:
* You will support effective training and upskilling of staff, becoming part of a successful production team. The role involves working on a shift-based pattern, including days and nights, to increase operational skill levels.
* You will work as part of a wider line team supported by a team leader, line engineer, and Technical Operator.
* Your work will ensure high-quality standards, low waste, and a safe environment.
* This involves operational activities such as loading materials, basic fault finding, and machine operation.
* You will maintain hygiene standards, execute cleaning routines, and ensure product quality through inspection and analysis.
* You will perform machine changeovers, execute asset care, monitor performance, and optimize setups to maximize quality and output while reducing waste.
* This role requires operational focus, understanding of monitoring and control systems, and manufacturing processes.
* Good communication, teamwork, efficiency, and results-oriented attitude are essential.
Role Requirements
Skills & Essentials:
* GCSE Math and English, or equivalent, and good PC skills
* Machine operating, setting, and adjustment skills
* Experience in FMCG and Quality Control environments, especially in shift roles, is beneficial
* Formal technical qualifications are desirable but not essential; training will be provided
