We have exciting opportunities in the South Angus Community Mental Health Team and are looking for two Assistant Practitioners to join us. The successful candidates will work alongside the wider multidisciplinary team with a shared goal of delivering the highest standard of person centred care, supporting service users to maintain wellness in the local community with the support of a well established multi disciplinary team.
Both posts are based within Bruce House, Arbroath. One post will have a focus on working in collaboration with service users and their families/carers to provide additional support alongside the Community Mental Health Team as an alternative to admission, during hospital admission which will involve regular attendance in General Adult Psychiatry wards in Carseview Hospital and following discharge from hospital, planning and delivering tailored care to support the recovery journey. The other post will have a focus on providing care and treatment to service users with a range of mental health needs in the South Angus area. Please note that these posts will have a requirement for weekend working as part of CMHT Enhanced Weekend Service, this is on a rotational basis.
Both posts are part of an Integrated Community Mental Health Service which forms part of the Angus Health and Social Care Partnership.
Applicants will have a broad range of experience of working with people who have mental health needs and difficulties, and be committed to improving their health outcomes.
The successful candidates will receive a robust induction programme alongside ongoing clinical and managerial supervision. Your professional development will be supported through external and internal training opportunities.

You must be able to demonstrate relevant attainment level at HNC/SVQ3 (SCQF7) or be willing to undertake an additional qualification HNC/SVQ 3 (SCQF 7).
If you do not have the above qualifications the post will commence as a Band 3 until this is obtained.
Hours of work are: 37 hours per week (part time will be considered)
The ability to work as part of our extended weekend service is essential to this post, as is the ability to travel across the locality.
