As our Enterprise Architect, you’ll collaborate with senior stakeholders, IT leaders, and delivery teams to craft solutions that enhance business operations and drive innovation. With a focus on architecture leadership, you’ll ensure that solutions align with Serco’s sector roadmaps, maintaining a balance between technical excellence and strategic impact. Main responsibilities of the role: Take ownership of strategy and solution development in the data and integration domain, providing strong technical guidance and leadership to solution architects. Work closely alongside the Enterprise Data Officer to define appropriate solutions and strategies. Liaise with business representatives, the wider Divisional IT Enterprise Architect team on data and integration strategies. Ensure compliance to strategy and solution architectural design in the implementation of projects and bids. Explain technical issues and IT solution strategies to Business Unit stakeholders and other IT professionals as required in support of solutions. Develop and maintain a technology and service roadmap, working with Business Stakeholders and DDaT leadership to ensure this is maintained, current and meets future capability needs. Review the proposal of vendors and suppliers to ensure that quality inputs are deliverable, aligned to Sector Roadmaps and compliant with Enterprise Architecture standards. Maintain the Data and Integration architectures of all systems used in the technology areas in sufficient detail to support ongoing design work. What you’ll need: A degree in an IT-related discipline or equivalent experience is preferred, with a strong understanding of modern enterprise IT infrastructure, cloud-based technologies (e.g., SaaS, Azure), and applications. Demonstrated ability to define and communicate technical solutions to business challenges effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. Proven experience in data management, databases and data warehousing designs and topologies, integration technologies and architectures, and analytics. Strong background in Microsoft Platforms (e.g. Synapse, Databricks, ADF, Power BI) and Boomi technology platforms would be beneficial. Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
