We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate position in the Water Quality function at Yorkshire Water.
What we do:
We provide essential water and wastewater services to every corner of the Yorkshire region, ensuring clean and safe drinking water and proper wastewater management.
New environmental legislation, unprecedented levels of investment, and changing expectations from customers mean that this is an exciting time to discover opportunities within the water industry. The Water Quality team is a key part of how we plan to meet these changing expectations.
THE ROLE:
The Graduate Programme is a two-year programme offering five structured placements within your business area, with selective placements in other areas, including core functions such as Finance, Health & Safety, People, and Procurement.
The Graduate Water Quality Scientist role is vital in helping ensure that water quality targets and standards relating to specific legislation are met.
Where you’ll fit in:
* Optimise assets, systems, processes, and procedures for continuous improvement in water quality performance and protection of public health.
* Lead a coordinated response to incidents across the business.
* Prepare reports for submission to our regulator/Senior Managers.
* Ensure compliance with our Performance Commitments.
* Undertake the role of water quality consultant on a 1 in 5-week basis.
* Participate in the water quality standby rota on a minimum 1 week in 5 frequency.
DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES:

REQUIREMENTS:
* Minimum 2:1 Bachelors degree in a Science or similar (environmental) discipline.
* Full Clean UK Driving Licence.
* Enthusiasm and a drive to succeed.

Recruitment Process:
The Assessment Centre will take place on week commencing 24th February 2025 to the 28th February 2025 with final decisions communicated by the 22nd March 2025.
