This is a permanent full-time position as Plant Operations-Vice President in our Scarborough location. You will be responsible for warehouse utilities planning, organizing, directing, controlling and evaluating, through middle managers, the overall operations of goods production. You will formulate policies which establish the direction to be taken, either alone or in conjunction with other members of a board of directors.
You will collaborate with the Tempco branch leads communicating new product development, energy efficient programs (private and government funded), manufacturer support services, training to Front Counter Customer Service and to Contractors. Hands-on experience is essential with HVAC jargon, products and overall HVAC understanding including areas such as: Furnace systems, air conditioning units, hydronic systems, ductless units, boiler systems, HRV (heat recovery ventilator), heat pumps, hot water heaters, tankless water heaters, fan coils, HRV / ERV Chillers.
Responsibilities
* Establish objectives for the company and formulate or approve policies and programs.
* Authorize and organize the establishment of major departments and associated senior staff positions.
* Allocate material, human and financial resources to implement company policies and programs; establish financial and administrative controls; formulate and approve promotional campaigns; and approve overall personnel planning.
* Select middle managers, directors or other executive staff.
* Coordinate the work of regions, divisions or departments.
* Represent the company, or delegate representatives to act on behalf of the company, in negotiations or other official functions.
