Position: School Business Manager
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized School Business Manager to join our vibrant school community in Burnley. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the school and ensuring the smooth running of administrative, financial, and strategic tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
* Attendance Management: Ensure daily and half-termly attendance is recorded accurately and provide detailed data analysis.
* Admissions Register: Maintain an up-to-date admissions register, providing insights and data on student enrollment.
* SEN Coordination: Support the SEN lead by staying up to date with the SEN register and providing relevant data analysis.
* School Summary Document: Produce the school summary document, including numbers and analysis.
* Data Management: Complete necessary ISC, ISI, and DfE data when required.
* Campus Operations: Audit and manage campus school cleaning, first aid equipment, and stationery supplies. Organize and oversee transport for school-related activities.
* Event Management: Organize school events, ensuring all logistical aspects are covered.
* Behavior Watch: Keep Behavior Watch up to date and ensure alignment with admissions, attendance, and parent packs.
* Parent Packs: Responsible for preparing and completing parent packs with accurate information.
* Timetabling: Prepare and manage staff timetables for each half term.
* Budget Management: Support the senior leadership team in managing the school budget.
* Exam Officer: Act as the Exam Officer for GCSEs, including storing, copying, and distributing certificates.
* Purchasing: Manage school purchase orders and ensure smooth financial operations.
Skills and Experience:
* Proven experience in a school administrative or business management role.
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Experience in data analysis and reporting.
* Familiarity with financial and budget management in an educational setting.
* Ability to work collaboratively with the senior leadership team.
* Knowledge of SEN requirements and exam management processes is desirable.
