The Orthopaedic Therapy team are delighted to offer 2 new Rehab Assistant posts supporting the Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists.
There would be opportunity to rotate between the Trauma Orthopaedic and the Elective Orthopaedic wards.
There will be regular training opportunities tapered to individual needs, working within a supportive and friendly multidisciplinary team, and with a wide variety of patients and their families.

Main duties of the job
1. To work alongside the Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist.
2. To deliver Therapy to a complex caseload on the ward.
3. To independently manage a designated caseload of patients defined as non-complex within a specified clinical area, providing assessment and interventions on behalf of the Therapists within predetermined guidelines.
4. To deliver and fit assistive equipment in the patients home as directed by the therapist.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Technical qualification e.g. NVQ Level III Health related or equivalent technical/work experience.
Knowledge and Experience
* Previous experience of working with patients.
* Working with older people.
* Broad range of life experiences and an appreciation of the principles of rehabilitation.
* An understanding of moving and handling principles.
* Basic understanding of the principles of behaviour and conduct in practice.
* Experience of working with individuals with a physical disability.
* Working as a member of a team.
Skills and Abilities

Salary: £24,071 to £25,674 a year pro rata per annum.
