We are a fast-growing global reinsurance speciality company servicing the insurance markets of Lloyd's, Europe and North America.
Are you a results-driven professional with a strong background in credit control and claims management? We are seeking a skilled Claims Credit Control Manager to join our dynamic team across the US and Europe. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of managing outstanding claims payments, reducing bad debt, and ensuring a smooth credit control process. You'll play a key part in our finance team while maintaining excellent client relationships and driving continuous process improvement.
Responsibilities
* Lead the Credit Control Function: Manage and oversee the claims credit control process, ensuring all debts are followed up and paid on time.
* Debt Collection & Resolution: Take proactive steps to chase overdue payments and resolve client payment queries in a professional and efficient manner.
* Reporting & Analysis: Generate reports on outstanding debts, aged debtors, and recovery performance, providing valuable insights to management.
* Client Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with clients, resolve payment disputes, and negotiate payment arrangements when necessary.
* Process Improvement: Continuously review and improve credit control procedures to streamline workflows and enhance debt recovery.
* Risk Management: Conduct regular credit checks, monitor exposure to bad debt, and manage credit risks effectively.
Candidate requirements
* Experience: Proven experience in credit control or debt management, ideally in the insurance, claims, or financial services sector.
* Education: A degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field. Professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) are a plus.
* Skills: Strong Excel and accounting software skills (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and familiarity with claims management systems.
* Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong ability to negotiate and resolve issues effectively.
* Organization: Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize efficiently, and work under pressure.
* Leadership: Experience in managing teams is beneficial, with a focus on development and performance.
