We have an exciting opportunity for a Company Secretarial Assistant to join our team here at The London Clinic, based at our head office in London (NW1 4LJ). We are offering a competitive inclusive salary of up to £35,000 per annum, dependant on experience.
Established in 1932, The London Clinic is one of the UK’s largest private hospitals, with 8 state-of-the-art facilities, and circa 1350 employees where we are dedicated to providing our patients with expert, individualised treatment and care. Our main hospital spans 8 floors comprising of 150+ patient beds and 10 operating theatres, including a Hybrid theatre and two minimally invasive/day surgery theatres. Speciality areas include, General surgery; ENT; Gynaecology; Hepatobiliary; Neuro-spinal; Ophthalmic; Orthopaedic; Plastic and reconstructive; Robotic; Urology; Vascular & Weight loss surgery (bariatric surgery).
Job Profile
As Company Secretarial Assistant you will provide support to the Company Secretary’s office and to provide professional, efficient and high-quality input and support to the Clinic with particular reference to supporting the meetings calendar, Trustees and Executive Board. To provide support to the Company Secretariat with developing and improving the governance frameworks/ systems of the Clinic.
* Job Type: This is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week.
* Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday 9am – 5.30pm
* Job Location: 1 Park Square West, London, NW1 4LJ (Close to Regents Park/Baker St tube stations).
* Salary: The attractive inclusive salary of up to £35,000 per annum, dependant on experience.

Key Duties
* Support the Deputy Company Secretary in the preparation of agendas and the commissioning of any required reports, presentations or other papers for meetings.
* Support the Deputy Company Secretary in the collation and issuing of meeting papers and additional information in a timely manner. This may include providing support to paper authors on content and focus and/or drafting papers as required.
* Support on the end of year and external audit processes including contributing to the production of the Annual Report
* Assisting the Deputy Company Secretary in ensuing that the Board and Committees are properly constituted, operated and supported and to ensure that statutory filings are completed.
* Support on annual CMA compliance reporting, and annual review of the modern slavery statement and any additional/ future reporting requirements as directed by the Company Secretary.
* Ad hoc support for strategic and / or exceptional projects. e.g. – projects to embed new legislation/ providing guidance recommendations/ conducting gap analysis to provide basis for improvement.
Skills & Experience
* Experience within in a similar role
* Great knowledge of Corporate governance and company law
* Good relationship building with both internal and external stakeholders
* Previous experience within the healthcare sector.
* Excellent communication; both verbal and written
* Able to demonstrate a professional approach at all times whilst under pressure
