Job Description Main purpose and scope of post To have responsibility for the coaching, leadership and development for the Employability Team and ensure a quality service that offers of high quality, personalised support for learners with disabilities and/or other disadvantages which enables learners to seek, access and retain employment experiences with the long-term view of accessing paid employment and/or increased independence. To be responsible for delivering the Employability service in line with the Employability strategy and the To effectively lead the liaison with employers in the employability process. To work with the Head of Employment Services to lead and shape the College’s response to new and emerging employment related funding opportunities at all levels. To work with the Head of Employment Services lead on the deployment, implementation and development of the Adult Education Budget. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities To have responsibility for the Employability Team; including caseload allocation and encouragement of continuous professional development. To monitor Key Performance Indicators that identify the effectiveness of individual Job Coaches and the Employability Team as a whole. To co-ordinate the Job Coaches on a day to day basis, including creating and developing working resources to assist the Job Coaches effectively complete their roles. To liaise with the Head of Employment Services, Careers Adviser, Curriculum Managers and other relevant parties to ensure a cross college holistic approach to Employability To liaise with teachers and managers to develop and maintain an effective working environment for the Employability Team. To develop and maintain an Employability Team meeting structure to enhance team working and the sharing of best practice. To work in partnership with the Head of Employment Services, take a lead role in employability and transition events. To proactively promote the Employability Team to learners, internal and external partners. Proactively identifying and following up new opportunities, and liaising with staff and students to identify suitable projects that are in line with the needs of the West Midlands Combined Authority and the ESFA Ensuring sound financial management and value for money as part of a key underpinning framework for the development of new AEB courses and employment services Work with the Head of Employment Services and the Finance Team in the development of costed business cases for all proposals. Working closely with managers, staff and students as required to drive the preparation of proposals and projects Support the production of an AEB growth plan in conjunction with the Head of Employment Services Carry out any other reasonable duties requested by the Head of Employment Services.
