Innovation and Delivery for Strategic Commissioning is key to supporting and leading change, and Plymouth City Council’s Adults, Health and Communities Directorate. We are looking for an Assurance and Service Improvement Manager to support our improvement journey for Adult Social Care. Positioned in our Strategic Commissioning department and reporting to the Head of Innovation and Delivery.
You will oversee the collation, validation and interpretation of key performance indicators, identifying trends and highlighting issues and opportunities. As an experienced manager, you will have experience of driving/embedding service improvement and assurance practices, a strong understanding of commissioning, change programmes and project management as well as knowledge of the challenges and opportunities for social care and health. You would lead a team in supporting the department’s priorities, including supporting our partnerships functions with transformational projects resources to improve customer experience and reduce waiting times. In addition, the role will assist and lead on providing advice and guidance across the service and its directorate to ensure that performance management is used to embed improvement programmes.
You will be experienced in building and maintaining key relationships with stakeholders and partners including other local authorities, health partners and elected members, as well as our commissioned providers across the city.
This is a new post created following a restructure so there is the opportunity to shape the evolution of the teams and recruit and develop staff.
This role is suitable for flexible working subject to the needs of the service.
