ITU Staff Nurse - Surrey - Nursing home for Adults with Neurological conditions - £47.4k to £49.9k + benefits
An outstanding CQC rated nursing home, providing care for adults living with complex neurological conditions with long-term nursing needs, including those requiring ventilator support and tracheostomies, is looking for an experienced ITU Staff Nurse to join the friendly professional team. They have a wonderful Home Manager, who leads and supports the team, offering a caring, professional and empathetic service to the residents within the home.
SALARY ETC:
* £47,424 (Staff Nurse) to £49,920 (Senior Staff Nurse), depending on experience.
* Permanent, full-time, 48-hours per week (4 shifts a week).
* Banstead, Surrey.
* Start: ASAP, but would wait for the right person if they need to give notice.

REQUIREMENTS:
* Must have full right to work in the UK (unable to sponsor)
* Experience as an ITU Nurse, or/and as a Nurse with experience of ventilators and tracheostomies.
* NMC registered nurse in the UK, with at least 1 years experience in critical and/or complex care environment.
* Experience in a clinical role in a care home or Private/MHS Hospital
* Understanding and experience of Clinical Governance
* Must have full right to work in the UK
DUTIES TO INCLUDE:
* Ensuring that the personal care and other health needs of Residents are met and that assigned duties are executed in a professional and caring manner giving due regard to the Home’s core values and values framework and the Skills for Care Code of Conduct for Health and Social Care Workers and the NMC Code of Conduct.
* Ensuring all relevant clinical documentation is in place, reflects the current clinical and care needs of the Resident as is updated monthly, (or more often if the Residents condition changes) to ensure accurate records are maintained, in line with the Home’s policies and procedures and NMC guidance on record keeping.
* Administering prescribed medication to Residents in line with the instructions of the prescribing doctor and the Home’s medication policies and procedures, and NMC guidance on the Standards of Medication Administration.
* Monitoring the health needs of Residents to ensure appropriate escalation using the NEWs protocol to General Practitioner services or a local acute hospital as appropriate
* Working co-operatively with colleagues in the pursuit of the responsibilities of the post, with due regard to our diversity and inclusion framework and policies.
* Carrying out the reasonable instructions of the senior nurse in charge or management staff to ensure optimal use of resources within the Home to ensure high quality care can be delivered at all times
* Ensuring concepts learnt during mandatory training sessions, (health and safety, inflection control, core values, and fire safety - this is not an exhaustive list) are upheld and demonstrated in practice during your working shift.
