Job summary
Darlington Adult Gateway Community Mental Health Team are looking for a Band 6 Nurse to join this established team. The Gateway Team are the front end of the community services, we complete initial assessments from primary care colleagues, provide one-to-one ungoverned work, complete depot injections, run depot clinics, support medication reviews, and oversee the long-term medication monitoring of patients on Lithium or ADHD.
The team works with low caseloads between 2 - 12 patients, which is a mix of one-to-one ungoverned patients and depot patients. Your week will be divided up to work with your caseload and to complete initial assessments.
Main duties of the job
You must have at least two years post-qualifying experience. We would consider part-time working arrangements if there were 2 appointable candidates to fill the full-time hours.

You will be able to work autonomously and be willing and able to develop your skills and knowledge for this specialist role. You will be involved in completing holistic assessments and delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions to people on our caseload.
The service is committed to developing the skills of practitioners, so there will be ongoing opportunities to work within either assessment or care coordination roles, whilst also having the opportunity to gain further therapeutic skills through training.
Supervision is high on the agenda for the team - with 4 weekly clinical and management/caseload meetings, along with quarterly appraisal reviews and annual appraisal.
