We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated French Teacher to join a modern and vibrant MFL department. The successful candidate will teach French across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, inspiring students to develop their language skills and gain an appreciation of French culture. There may also be opportunities to teach at Key Stage 5 for the right candidate. This role begins March 2025.
Duties as a French Teacher:
* Plan and deliver engaging and interactive lessons in French, promoting the development of listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills
* Foster a love of languages and culture, encouraging students to develop their confidence in using French in real-world contexts
* Use a variety of teaching methods, resources, and technologies to meet the diverse learning needs of students
* Assess and track student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to support learning
* Help students prepare for GCSE and A-Level French exams, ensuring they meet their potential
* Contribute to the wider MFL curriculum and extra-curricular activities, such as French clubs, trips, and cultural events
* Participate in whole-school initiatives, including school events and cross-curricular projects
Ideal French Teacher:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* A degree in French, Modern Languages, or a related subject
* Experience teaching French at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with knowledge of the curriculum and exam specifications
* A passion for teaching French and the ability to inspire students to love languages
* Strong communication and classroom management skills as a French Teacher.
* A commitment to high expectations and creating an inclusive classroom environment
