This is a newly created position within the Financial Control and Compliance Team, forming part of a centre of expertise in the organisation. You’ll support the Tax & Treasury Accountant in managing investments and cashflows, submitting tax returns, overseeing treasury and banking operations, and providing expert advice when required. Key Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day banking and treasury functions Manage funds held in the bank and investment accounts Prepare monthly VAT returns for the Group, ensuring full compliance Produce monthly cashflows and forecasts Perform reconciliations, including investment funds for the organisation and its subsidiaries Provide expert advice to identify potential tax savings and opportunities Offer guidance on global tax legislation and compliance Ensure compliance with Overseas and Global Taxation rules, liaising with HMRC and other relevant bodies Collate data for year-end tax returns Support preparation of pension returns Administer Endowments and Trust Funds Liaise with internal and external auditors as required Represent the organisation at external forums Collaborate with operational teams and senior managers to ensure finance is integrated into strategic planning and decision-making Who We’re Looking For: AAT qualified or early-stage ACCA student Self-motivated and working towards becoming a qualified accountant Ambitious with a desire to learn and grow within the organisation Proven experience in finance, ideally within tax and treasury functions Business-focused, with a problem-solving mindset Experience preparing VAT returns and cashflow reporting (essential) The Benefits: ACCA study support package Flexible 37-hour working week 35 days annual leave, plus bank holidays and Christmas shutdown Generous pension scheme Hybrid working – just 2 days per week on-site On-site parking Be Part of Something Bigger This is more than just a job – it’s a chance to be part of an organisation that values its people, fosters innovation, and drives positive change.
