Venue / Event Operations Manager, Christian Charity, London, c£28.5k + travel allowance + bens
My well-established Christian Charity client is looking for a Venue Manager to support their outreach work to the homeless and marginalized and to enable Gospel ministry to grow through working with church volunteer groups in various locations across London. I am seeking a Gospel-hearted individual with experience in venue activity coordination, administration, and legal and health & safety processes to keep our venue functioning well and safely.
This role has a GOR under the Equality Act of 2010 for the post holder to be an active and evangelical Christian.
The successful candidate will have a love for marginalized, overlooked, and ignored people groups. You will also have experience in evangelism in an urban setting and possess interpersonal skills to show Jesus’ love to all, whether it be someone coming in off the street or liaising with senior church leaders. You are a great team player, servant-hearted, with excellent administration skills alongside a sound knowledge of necessary statutory regulations such as health and safety processes, risk assessments, and food hygiene standards, working with central staff to meet required standards.
You are experienced in managing the delivery of a ministry venue and can deliver on all the technical aspects of managing and upkeeping a ministry venue safely and effectively (H&S, safeguarding, hygiene, and user license agreements, etc.) and can ensure rigorous compliance with all relevant legal regulations in conjunction with colleagues and external parties (training may be available in some areas for the technical aspects of this role). You are creative and flexible in being able to develop and deliver practical solutions around the key needs, issues, challenges, and opportunities in the operational delivery of a ministry venue. You are an excellent communicator who can provide key information clearly, simply, and confidentially with people at all levels.
