We are recruiting for a Modern Matron - Community Children's Services who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
The Matron for Community Children’s Services has day to day professional and managerial responsibility for Community Nursing Services including; Children’s Community Nursing Teams, Special needs Health Visitors, nurses in the special School, work alongside the Continuing Care Team Matron and supporting the DDoN and Divisional Management Team in delivering safe, high quality, and cost effective services.
The post holder will participate in the children’s community nursing service and continuing care teams on-call services as required including the management of palliative care needs.

You will advocate for high standards in quality of care for children and young people using both regional and national networks and East and North Herts NHS Trust services.
Provide expert professional leadership, informed, objective and pragmatic nursing advice to the team and the Divisional senior team, ensuring there are robust systems and monitoring in place to support all matters relating to patient care and experience.
You may be expected to deputise for the DDDoN as required for key activities and take a leading role in clinical governance across the whole division.
