Job Title: Purchasing Coordinator

About the role;
As a Purchasing Coordinator you will be working closely with the logistics team to ensure efficient procurement of IT equipment and supplies to our clients, contributing to project and operational success. This role will be based full time at our Head Office in Team Valley.

Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to;
10. Review incoming sales orders, focusing on product specifications, quantities, pricing, and delivery instructions
11. Address order-related queries or discrepancies promptly
12. Enter sales orders into the system, maintaining data integrity and adhering to validation rules and standards
13. Generate purchase orders based on sales order specifications and internal procurement policies
14. Place orders with suppliers via email or relevant portals
15. Seek opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements by evaluating potential suppliers based on product quality, pricing, delivery reliability, financial stability, and reputation
16. Resolve purchase order-related issues or discrepancies
17. Serve as the primary contact for internal teams and external stakeholders regarding order inquiries and discrepancies
18. Maintain clear and consistent communication providing regular updates
19. Provide training and guidance to teams where required
Knowledge, Skills & Experience;
20. Proven experience in a Purchasing Coordinator or similar procurement role, preferably within IT
21. Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
22. Familiarity with IT equipment and supplies would be desirable
23. Knowledge of best practices in procurement and supply chain management
24. Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
25. Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
26. Ability to work effectively in a team
27. Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
28. Adaptability to changing priorities and meeting deadlines
