We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Social Worker / Advanced Practitioner to join our Intervention & Planning team within Child Protection. In this pivotal role, you will lead the charge in delivering high-quality social work services to families in need, ensuring the safety and well-being of children. As a Senior Social Worker, you will leverage your extensive experience to assess and manage complex cases, provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, and actively participate in multi-agency meetings. You will play a crucial part in developing and implementing intervention plans tailored to the specific needs of children and families, fostering a collaborative approach to service delivery. Responsibilities
Lead assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks in complex cases.
Develop and implement tailored intervention and planning strategies for children and families.
Provide expert advice and support to junior social workers and team members.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive service delivery.
Attend and contribute to case conferences, court hearings, and safeguarding meetings.
Monitor and review case progress regularly, ensuring timely interventions are made when necessary.
Prepare and present detailed written reports and documentation to support decision-making processes.
Requirements
A recognized social work qualification and current registration with the appropriate regulatory body.
Significant post-qualification experience in child protection and intervention planning.
Demonstrated understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
Excellent assessment, analytical, and case management skills.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
Experience in mentoring and supporting junior social workers and trainees.
Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders while maintaining a child-centered focus.
Hours Per Week: 36.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £27.75
Location: Barnet, Hertfordshire
