This is an exciting opportunity to work with leading-edge power electronics and test systems, contributing to innovation in BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle) and ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) technologies. Role Overview As a Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in managing and enhancing test automation systems, including test scripts, data measurement tools, and software platforms such as PUMA, CAMEO, INCA, and dSpace. You’ll be responsible for maintaining the lab's capabilities, troubleshooting systems, and ensuring efficient testing processes. Your expertise will support testing for high-voltage power electronics, including e-machines and inverters, helping drive forward innovation in hybrid and electric vehicle technology. Key Responsibilities of Systems Engineer Manage and maintain test automation systems for APRL facilities. Conduct power electronics data measurement and initial quality evaluations for HEV (Hybrid Electric Vehicle) and BEV systems. Perform rig/lab-based testing and evaluations for power electronic systems. Support data acquisition, test reporting automation, and lab equipment updates. Engage with internal teams, university partners, and external stakeholders to promote and expand facility capabilities. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in test systems. Generate detailed test reports and contribute to improving operational efficiency. Required Skills and Experience of Systems Engineer Background in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Hands-on experience with power electronic systems testing, including e-machines and inverters. Proficient in data acquisition systems, instrumentation, and test data management. Familiarity with automation tools and software such as AVL PUMA, INCA, dSpace, and IndiCOM. Strong understanding of CAN protocols and electrical distribution systems. Proven ability to update and maintain existing test systems and frameworks. Effective communication skills and the ability to explain test methodologies. Preferred Qualifications Experience in developing and automating test reporting systems. In-depth knowledge of power electronic efficiency testing and BEV/HEV systems.
