You will be the first point of contact for external auditors, ensuring a smooth and efficient audit process.The Finance Manager will also take on broader responsibilities within the Financial Reporting team. This role is ideal for someone with a background in audit practice and a desire to step into a dynamic, high-impact position.As Finance Manager your key responsibilities will include:Planning and agreeing timetables for all audit and financial statement processes, ensuring clear communication with stakeholders.Managing and actively reviewing the audit process, addressing any concerns and ensuring high-quality audit responses.Acting as the first point of contact for external auditors, ensuring a smooth and effective relationship.Preparing and reviewing financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with international accounting standards.Managing a team of 2-3 direct reports, supporting them in audit, financial statements, and additional tasks such as balance sheet reconciliations and pension payovers.Conducting post-audit reviews to assess performance and implement process improvements where necessary.Taking on additional tasks within the Financial Reporting team as needed.The successful Finance Manager will:Be a fully qualified accountant, ideally ACA.Have previous experience in an audit practice, preferably at the manager level or senior associate.Hold Up-to-date knowledge of current international accounting standards and upcoming changes.Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage with colleagues across all levels.Demonstrate strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Have excellent planning and organisational abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks under pressure.Previous experience in an industry role in addition to experience preparing financial statements and managing a team would be advantageous but not essential.Why Join Us:This is an exciting opportunity to take on a leadership role in a dynamic finance team, working closely with external auditors and internal stakeholders.
