Employment Type: Full Time / Temp-Perm
Working Hours: Mon-Fri 10/12 hour shifts
Key Responsibilities
* Safely and efficiently move wagons and trailers between designated areas within the depot.
* Maintain the bay area by ensuring it is always stocked and supplied with the necessary wagons and trailers.
* Operating shunter/Unit and general class 2 vehicle movement throughout the site.
* Organising vehicle movement in line with the dispatch requirements and yard parking effectively.
* Coordinate with other team members and departments to ensure the flow of goods and vehicles.
* Conduct safety checks before and after every shift, ensuring all operations comply with industry standards and company policies.
* Handle potential issues promptly, including delays or equipment failures, to minimize disruptions to the operation.
Requirements
* Shunter Driver skills required.
* Current driving license essential.
* CPC & Digicard not required as no driving on public highways.
* Ability to think quickly and act under pressure.
* Physically fit with the ability to handle challenging and sometimes strenuous tasks.
