Our client has a fantastic opportunity for a Procurement and Supply Chain Specialist to join the team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a part-time position - 4 days per week with a hybrid working setup, based in either Glasgow or Edinburgh.
Skills/Experience:
1. Experience of procurement process including supplier selection, onboarding, and due diligence.
2. Experience of working effectively with business teams around supplier requirements.
3. Experience of working with databases and IT systems such as SharePoint.
4. Experience in supplier management and dealing with a variety of third parties.
5. Ability to negotiate key commercial terms and review and assess supplier contracts.
6. Knowledge of key/typical commercial contract terms across a range of different types of suppliers.
7. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work quickly and accurately using your own initiative.
8. Prioritising and managing a number of different projects at the same time spanning different business areas.
Core Responsibilities:
1. Supporting agreement and roll-out of a supplier selection framework to embed within the business.
2. Supporting business owners with the selection (including tender support) and onboarding of any new suppliers.
3. Diligently inputting and maintaining supplier data records on our systems.
4. Ongoing due diligence on existing supply base.
5. Working with Supplier Manager to support business owners in relation to performance management/KPIs/incident management and exit.
6. Producing relevant Management Information in relation to our supply base.
7. Building and maintaining strong links and positive relationships with all business areas within the firm.
8. Building positive relationships with key suppliers.
9. Maintain policies, processes, templates, and guidance for the firm.
10. Driving cost savings.
11. Keeping up to date with industry best practice.
12. Delivering training where required.
