Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons for Year 6 students
* Assess and evaluate students' progress and provide constructive feedback
* Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
* Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support students' development
* Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events
Qualifications
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field
* Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a primary school
* Experience teaching in a primary school setting
* Knowledge of the UK national curriculum for Year 6
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Effective classroom management techniques
* Differentiated instruction strategies
* Assessment and feedback methods
* IT proficiency for educational purposes
Desirable Qualifications
* Postgraduate qualification in Education
* Experience working with diverse student populations
The role involves working in a primary school setting, following school hours and term dates. It may require participation in extracurricular activities and occasional evening events.
