Job Title: Environmental Advisor Location: Ideally based in West Yorkshire, North West or Birmingham To support and assist the Central Sustainability Team under the direction of the Sustainability Manager, to achieve the divisional environmental objectives through the 5 Delegations and Shared Service functions. Assist with proactively identifying sustainability challenges and opportunities that will promote and monitor all aspects of performance and progress in meeting the VINCI Environmental Ambition. This role will require visibility within the delegations in supporting and facilitating local objectives. Key Responsibilities: Support on the development of standard templates, guidance, and processes to develop/maintain the Tier 1 Management Systems in accordance with ISO 14001 and PAS 2080 Carry out Environmental Ambition monitoring assessments to understand the performance and progress of delegation strategy, potentially with a greater degree of support to Eurovia, and business unit action plans e.g. achieving recycling targets and actions around promoting positive biodiversity Provide sustainability advice through site visits and highlight opportunities for improvements and solutions to known challenges, promoting a consistent approach Working collaboratively with specialists across the business to deliver initiatives and new ideas as part of continual improvement Support and manage environmental campaigns and events including VINCI Environmental Day and Environmental Awards Support on the GHG assessment for Scope 1, 2 and 3 Assist business unit managers to ensure environmental incidents are recorded, investigated and root causes are addressed Develop, communicate and promote best practice examples from the business Develop learning resources and materials to improve the culture and awareness for environment and sustainability To actively foster a positive staff morale To willingly carry out any reasonable task as requested by a member of management We are a private-sector group operating in the public interest.
