We are currently looking for 2 Deputy Team Managers to contribute to professional leadership in our Llangatwg Community Children’s Team. You will be responsible for supporting the manager in providing an efficient and effective service to children in need of care and support, children in need of protection, looked after children and their families in line with current policies, best practice, legislation, procedures and systems.
As well as assisting with management responsibilities, you will hold a small number of complex cases, provide advice and guidance to Social Workers and Support Workers in the team and contribute to the development and delivery of the service in order to maintain a high quality provision on behalf of the Authority.
It remains an exciting time in Children and Young People Services as we continue to make solid progress towards our aims of achieving quality, supporting families and effectively managing risk. We are proud to have a strong and stable management team; training and supporting staff remains a high priority and average caseloads per social worker continue to be low.

You must possess a relevant qualification in Social Work, be registered with Social Care Wales, and have three years post-qualifying experience working with children and young people to be considered for this position.
