Field Service Engineer

We are working with a specialist company providing high-quality process purified water systems tailored for a wide range of industries.
This Field Service role will be within the Service and Commissioning department supporting the Customer Support team. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be working on installation, commissioning, servicing, and troubleshooting of advanced purified water systems at customer sites across the UK.
Role Requirements - Field Service Engineer
1. Commission, service, and maintain process purified water systems including Reverse Osmosis (RO) units, Deionisers, and associated equipment.
2. Diagnose and repair faults on-site, ensuring minimum downtime for clients.
3. Complete service reports and calibration certificates to a high standard.
4. Support project engineers during system handover and client training.
5. Provide technical support and guidance to clients, ensuring systems operate efficiently and within specification.
6. Ensure health and safety standards are maintained at all times during site work.
7. Participate in a rota for emergency callouts.
8. Travel to client sites across the UK (and occasionally internationally if required) with occasional overnight stays.
Ideal Candidate:
1. Proven experience as an Electro-Mechanical Engineer, ideally within the water treatment sector.
2. In-depth knowledge of Reverse Osmosis systems, Deionisation processes (both Ion Exchange and Electro deionisation), and pre-treatment equipment.
3. Competent in reading and interpreting technical drawings, P&IDs, and electrical schematics.
4. Comfortable with commissioning control systems and troubleshooting instrumentation faults.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
6. Strong communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
7. Full UK driving licence.
