Director, Business Development and Strategy
Join us as Director, Business Development and Strategy and be a member of our Handling leadership team! You will join our Propulsion & Handling division in Kongsberg Maritime.
We are seeking a visionary and strategic leader to join our Business Unit Management team. This role is crucial to drive the growth and innovation of our Business Unit. You possess a blend of strategic thinking, leadership, and analytical skills, with a proven track record in business development and strategic planning. As the VP of Business Development and Strategy, you will be at the forefront of shaping our future, driving collaboration across product segments, and leading key initiatives that will propel our business forward.
You will work with various internal and external partners, evaluate, and prioritize potential projects. You will also lead teams to implement approved strategic projects in specific markets, value chains, or technical domains. In this role, you handle strategic projects that may affect the future of our business, and you know how to use different tools to assess and justify growth opportunities.

Key accountabilities
* Business Unit Strategy: Own and develop the overarching strategy for the business unit, ensuring alignment with the company’s vision and goals.
* Portfolio Development: Challenge and drive the development of our product portfolio at the Business Unit level, ensuring it is future-proof and aligned with market trends.
* Partnerships: Establish and nurture strategic partnerships to enhance our market position.
* Analyze customer growth opportunities, competitors, and technologies for potential partnerships or M&A prospects.
* Supply Chain Evaluation: Together with key strategic supply chain resources in the product segments, lead strategic evaluation of the supply chain and challenge the status quo to achieve efficiency.
Qualifications and experience
* Experienced industry leader with strong business acumen and expert project management capability.
* Experience from the maritime or naval industry within business administration, technical, or finance.
* Expert familiarity with specific market, value chain, or product domains relevant for our handling product portfolio.
* Excellent communication skills and acquired leadership skills.
