They are currently searching for a Director/Sr Director of Business development to drive client growth in the UK.
Responsibilities:
* New Client Acquisition: Actively research and identify potential biotech/Pharmaceutical clients
* Identify and qualify new business opportunities by engaging pharmaceutical companies in need of CDMO services and demonstrating the company’s reputation as a world-class supplier.
* Deeply understand customer needs to craft accurate and fair proposals, ensuring a seamless and positive customer experience.
* Expand the company’s market presence and strengthen internal and external relationships to drive lead generation and increase market share.
* Collaborate across departments to ensure client projects are delivered flawlessly and align with contractual agreements.
* Provide valuable voice-of-customer insights to internal teams to refine the company’s value proposition and align services with market demands.
* Partner with Marketing to develop targeted campaigns and analyse inbound data to uncover trends and drive new business opportunities.
* Monitor competitors’ services, pricing, and strategies to refine business approaches and maintain a competitive edge.
* Represent the company at industry events, business meetings, and community engagements to promote its services and gather market intelligence.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to develop sustainable, profitable relationships that contribute to long-term business growth.
Key experience required
* Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field; a PhD in Organic Chemistry is preferred.
* Several years experience selling API services within UK
* Proven track record of selling products or services using a range of sales techniques tailored to biotech and major pharmaceutical clients.
* Strong knowledge of CMC, cGMP, API, and the drug development process for small molecules is preferred
* Exceptional abilities, including business acumen, negotiation skills, decision-making,, with the courage to seek and close high-value opportunities.
* Excellent presentation and communication skills, capable of effectively engaging prospective customers, partners, and vendors.
