Athona are seeking an experienced Registered General Nurse to work within a neurological centre within Ipswich (this is a permanent position) Key Responsibilities Responsible for providing support, leadership, recognition and supervision to other team members as appropriate Demonstrating own activities to new or less experienced colleagues and carrying out day-to-day supervision of work of others Supporting education, training, demonstration and guidance to carers, colleagues and students as appropriate Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating individualised clinical care of service users using evidence-based guidelines and giving specialist advice to service users Using evidence-based practice to develop and maintain high-quality service users' care and to ensure the continuous improvement of the nursing service. Following policies and contributing ideas on proposals for change Ensuring the care team provide all care in line with the evidence-based care plan. Organising the admission and discharge of service users and maintaining all records in line with corporate policies and procedures and NMC guidelines Ensuring that all service users (or when they are not able family/carers) are given the opportunity to participate fully in the care planning and review process To be responsible for the management of service users' care during the shift and to ensure continuity of care by communicating and liaising with medical, nursing and other colleagues, providing accurate and timely reports of any changes in the condition of the service users Facilitating the safe and smooth running of the Service, the post holder is expected to maintain a safe working environment, maintain service user confidentiality, and occasionally taking on reasonable additional tasks Qualifications needed: NMC Registered Nurse Evidence of continued professional development If you have the above experience, please apply today
