With small class sizes and a strong focus on personalised learning, staff work closely with students to ensure progress both academically and personally.
The Role
We are seeking a Maths Teacher/Tutor to support students with additional needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact, delivering engaging and accessible Maths lessons in a way that meets the needs of all learners. QTS is not required, but experience in SEN or alternative education settings would be beneficial.
Key Responsibilities:
✔️ Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons in a way that supports different learning styles.
✔️ Adapt teaching methods to suit students with SEN, focusing on individual progress.
✔️ Support students in developing confidence and key numeracy skills.
✔️ Work closely with SEN specialists, teaching assistants, and other staff members.
✔️ Help students build resilience and positive attitudes towards learning.
What We're Looking For:
Teaching/tutoring experience in Maths, preferably in an SEN or alternative provision setting.
A creative and adaptable approach to teaching.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to build positive relationships with students who may have additional learning needs.
