Renfrewshire Council is seeking a dynamic and strategic individual to take on the role of Strategic Manager - Learning Estate Strategy and Delivery. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to be at the forefront of shaping the future of Children’s Services establishments across the Council. Our recently approved Learning Estate Strategy will guide Renfrewshire Council’s biggest-ever investment in its learning estate, which will transform our schools over the years ahead.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual who has extensive experience of delivering a variety of standard and complex projects and has worked in a commercially sensitive environment.
You will be educated to degree level or equivalent in an appropriate discipline or have significant experience at a senior level within an organisation.
Possession of a strategic and programme management qualification would be desirable.
You will have experience of planning, developing and implementing learning estate development programmes, experience of building and maintaining effective high-level stakeholder relationships across organisations of some scale and a proven and consistent track record of achieving strategic programme outcomes.
As the Strategic Manager - Learning Estate Strategy and Delivery, you will hold a senior strategic management position responsible for developing and driving the strategy for the learning estate. This includes gathering and analysing key data, ensuring alignment with national and local priorities, and developing actionable strategies for the future.
This is a senior leadership role offering the opportunity to have a lasting impact on the learning estate and to work collaboratively with a range of services to drive forward essential projects that support children and young people across Renfrewshire.
You will possess effective communication, numeracy, negotiation, influencing and project management skills as well as the ability to ensure organisational and service readiness for change through aligning values, structures, systems, skills, style, staff and strategy.
Knowledge of current legislation, guidance and national policies relating to learning estate development and renewal is desirable.

Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading the development and delivery of the Learning Estate Strategy
* Taking senior responsibility for the successful delivery of all capital projects related to the learning estate
* Leading a multi-disciplinary team to deliver projects on time, within scope, and to budget
* Establishing key links and working collaboratively with wider Council support services, including Facilities Management, Estates, and Property Services, to ensure a coordinated approach to the delivery of Council priorities
* Providing strategic oversight, ensuring that the learning estate meets the needs of current and future generations of learners
