Position
An opportunity has arisen for a permanent Healthcare Support Worker based cross site across Ayrshire in Ward 3A/Oncology/Haematology Day Units & Haematology Clinic.
What you will do:
You will support with enhanced cleaning, stock ordering and rotation, and generally supporting patients going through their cancer journeys.
You will be responsible for supporting the delivery of quality person-centred nursing care and defined nursing interventions, within an In-Patient, Day Unit & Clinic setting to patients living with cancer in Ayrshire.
Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
1. SVQ2 in Healthcare related subject is desirable but having the appropriate values, experience or competency to undertake the role will be taken into consideration and on-the-job training will be given.
2. Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
3. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
4. Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
5. Ability to show initiative.
6. Organisational and time management skills.
Hours:
37 per week.
