Summary About the Position: This position is located at the Liberty Club on RAF Lakenheath, UK. This position requires working shift work to provide coverage on days, evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations. Scheduled hours will be 0-40 per week with no minimum guarantee. Must be physically able to lift objects weighing 5-20 pounds and occasionally lifting over 40 pounds.
Responsibilities:
1. Operates a full service bar.
2. Mixes and serves all types of alcoholic or nonalcoholic drinks to order, following a variety of established recipes.
3. Delivers drinks to bar waiters, or serves directly to patrons.
4. Receives payments or charges to member's account as appropriate.
5. Washes glasses and other bar equipment.
6. Prepares garnishes for mixed drinks.
7. May help stock service bar or portable bar for catered functions.
8. Responsible for the proper operation of the bar, receipts and inventory accountability.

Qualifying Experience:
1. Must have experience mixing alcoholic beverages for retail sale, which includes knowledge of a wide variety of beverages and ability to combine ingredients such as liquor, soda water, sugar, bitters, and fruit.
2. Ability to mix exotic drinks.
3. Must be able to recognize intoxicated or unruly patrons and to resolve the problem or seek assistance if needed.
4. Must be able to follow cash handling procedures.
5. Must meet the appropriate minimum age requirement for working with and/or serving alcoholic beverages.
Education:
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
