SEND/SEMH Cover Supervisor

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm

Protocol Education is currently working in partnership with a progressive Secondary School in Telford, part of a respected educational Trust. We are seeking a compassionate and adaptable Cover Supervisor to join this dedicated team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting young people, particularly those with additional needs, and who thrives in a dynamic, inclusive setting.
What You’ll Do:
* Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring a safe, supportive learning environment.
* Keep students engaged with pre-set work, guiding them through tasks and reinforcing learning objectives.
* Encourage positive behaviour and maintain a calm and respectful classroom atmosphere.
* Serve as a consistent role model, setting clear expectations and promoting emotional regulation and resilience.
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience working with young people, particularly those with SEND or SEMH, is highly desirable.
* Confident classroom management skills and the ability to motivate and support learners.
* A patient, empathetic, and proactive attitude.
* Relevant experience in education or care settings is a plus—but full training is provided.
