Vocational Tutor in Engineering
Location: Worksop
Salary: Up to £36,413 (£14,762.02 pro-rata) per annum (depending on experience and qualifications)
Hours: Part time, 15 hours per week, all year round

The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to join their Engineering team in creating and delivering excellent teaching, learning, and assessment in their Engineering Department. You may be an experienced tutor or assessor looking for a change or a new challenge. Whatever your rationale, this role is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference.
They are looking for a mechanical engineering tutor with experience in maintenance and mechatronics, along with some practical machining experience. In this role, you will be delivering on EAL, BTEC, and City & Guilds Engineering at Levels 1 to 3 and to their Apprentices. You will work in their well-equipped workshops and online through their virtual learning environment, using Google Classroom.
The role of lecturer is to equip students with skills for their future through the delivery of outstanding education and training and inspire students to achieve their potential. This role offers you the opportunity to do this every day. It is the job satisfaction that comes from this that makes a teaching role special.
The key roles of a lecturer include delivering excellent teaching, completing relevant preparation and marking that supports this, and setting SMART targets to enable students to reach their potential.
You will play an important role in developing creative resources to inspire outstanding learning and will be responsible for monitoring and tracking learner progress to promote positive outcomes for learners.
Skills and Qualifications
* You should be an effective and motivated team player, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues and management to achieve strategic and organisational objectives.
* You will have experience of employment in a mechanical engineering company and practical experience in industry covering welding, machining - manual and/or CNC.
* You will hold a vocational qualification at Level 3 or above, as well as a relevant teaching qualification and assessors award, or be willing to work towards them. You will hold a Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification in English and Maths or be willing to work towards it.
* You will be able to bring the subject to life, using combined methods of practical, theoretical, and digital approaches which will engage your learners and provide them with the best skills, knowledge, and behaviours for the future.
