We have an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Clinical Practitioner to be one of the first to join our team at HMP Millsike, a Category B men's prison, located in the village of Full Sutton near York.
HMP Millsike will have an operational capacity of 1500 people who will spend their sentences learning the skills they need to find work on release as part of the government’s drive to cut reoffending. The prison site is currently under construction and Practice Plus Group were recently awarded the healthcare contract to begin delivering services in April 2025.
This is a rare opportunity to be part of a new healthcare team from the inception of a brand new prison site.
This position is full time working 37.5 hours per week. You will receive an annual salary of between £57,603 and £64,471 depending on experience.

Responsibilities
As an Advanced Clinical Practitioner, your responsibilities will include:
1. Demonstrating judgement in assessing and managing wide-ranging and complex patient problems
2. Acting as a role model ensuring professional appearance and maintaining professional standards at all times
3. Supporting senior clinicians on site as part of the daily leadership team, providing clinical input for all patients
4. Ensuring patient safety, managing complex cases, and applying the most up-to-date treatment methodologies to patient care

Qualifications Required
1. Registered Nurse – Adult Mental Health with current NMC or Registered Paramedic with current HCPC
2. Independent/supplementary prescriber qualification
3. MSc in Advanced Practice
4. Experience working autonomously as an advanced clinical practitioner following best practice guidance
5. Experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment is ideal but not essential
