As the Anaesthetic and Recovery Lead, you will help us build a healthier nation. You will be registered with the appropriate governing body and have the relevant qualifications and post registration in anaesthetics & recovery experience, including as a Registered Nurse or HCPC Registered Operating Department Practitioner. With strong clinical leadership, you will guide your team a shared vision promoting innovation and sustainability. As a clinical leader, you will have good communication and organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team, knowledge and understanding of running a smooth & effective department equipment is also essential.
As our Clinical Lead in Anaesthetic and Recovery, you will:
* Promote experienced and professional leadership to the anaesthetic and recovery teams and be responsible for effective first line management of A & R practitioners.
* Assessment of staffing needs, and skill mis requirements in line wit clinical activity, handle training, education and development of your team within the appropriate codes of practice
* Act as a role model demonstrating high levels of clinical expertise, leading managing individual patient care to contribute to overall advancement of the Theatre
* Ensure the smooth running of the theatre lists and organizing booking forms and assisting sessions in theatres
* Work collaboratively and flexibly across the theatre suites to accommodate the service demands of each department, which include Endoscopy, General, Orthopaedic, Gynaecology
* Promote effective clinical risk management and governance within the department, including safety and risk management, quality improvement and ensure policies and procedure, to enhance patient care and service delivery.
* Have extensive knowledge required for dealing with audits and equipment.
* Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of surgical techniques and associated equipment
