The Role
A well-regarded secondary school in South East London is seeking a dedicated Head of Spanish to join their team in September. This full-time, permanent position involves:
1. Leading and developing the Spanish curriculum across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
2. Managing and supporting a team of Spanish teachers to deliver high-quality lessons.
3. Ensuring effective assessment and monitoring of student progress.
4. Promoting interest in the Spanish language through cultural events, exchanges, and co-curricular activities.
5. Contributing to the strategic direction and development of the Modern Foreign Languages department.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), substantial experience teaching Spanish, and a proven track record in leadership within a secondary school setting.
