We are currently looking for an Analyst to join our Data & Regulatory Reporting Team within Balance Sheet Management. The main purpose of the role is to support the Society’s implementation of a new regulatory reporting governance framework by embedding revised processes in the Finance Division and developing MI to monitor progress.
As an analyst, you'll work collaboratively with teams across Balance Sheet Management, Finance, and the wider group, acting as regulatory reporting governance SME and consultant on best practice. Ensuring the Society maintains an up-to-date register of regulatory requirements and returns, maintaining and centralising external horizon scanning activity, communicating with key stakeholders, and monitoring data quality of governance information.
What You'll Do
You will join an established team and support the Regulatory Reporting Lead in the ongoing implementation of new ways of working. You will be expected to be a primary point of contact for teams, across Finance, on the implementation of policy and documentation.
Whilst knowledge and experience of Financial Services sector and/or governance frameworks is desirable, we are open to candidates from other backgrounds. It is more important you have strong attention to detail, ability to monitor good data quality practice, confident to drive change and excellent time management and organisation skills.
How You’ll Do It
* Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail is key to the role.
* Ability to work well within a team and excellent self-management skills.
* Excellent knowledge of Excel functionality with VBA an advantage.
* Knowledge of Power BI is essential to help develop a MI dashboard.
* Delivery focused ability to work to tight deadlines.
* Good understanding of risks relating to regulatory reporting and control processes desirable but not essential.
* Some knowledge of the requirements of the key areas of Balanced Sheet Management would be an advantage:
o Capital Management
o Liquidity Management
o Market Risk
o Financial Reporting
