Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Fire Alarm Installation Engineer to join our Projects department on a full-time basis. The role will involve working on large-scale installations primarily in Hampshire and Sussex. You will be responsible for the installation of equipment, electrical wiring, and containment systems.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Install and configure fire alarm systems, CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control in accordance with industry standards and project specifications.
2. Collaborate with project teams to meet installation deadlines and quality requirements.
3. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to fire alarm systems.
4. Adhere to relevant regulations and BS5839 Part 1 standards.
Qualifications:
1. Proven proficiency in electrical wiring and equipment installation.
2. Hands-on experience with fire alarm systems installation.
3. In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations and BS5839 Part 1.
4. Certifications in fire alarm installation and engineering are highly desirable.
5. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
What We Offer:
4 day week (Mon-Thurs) with a 1 in 8 ROTA to work on Fridays. Only time Fridays are worked is during school holidays, until 12pm. This is due to their client base being mostly schools.
It is a 34 hour week, 7.30-16.30 Mon-Thurs. Anything over 34 hours is at 1.5 rate. Door to door travel means the engineers see a minimum of 4 hours overtime every week.
This is an install role. Hourly rate is higher than usual to compensate for the 4 day week. Salaries start at £33,000 upwards, depending on experience. Covering Brighton to Southampton (occasionally as far as Bournemouth too, no London).
