Academy Technician (Science and Animal Care)
Contract term: Permanent, Full time, All Year Round (to include short shifts on Saturdays / Sundays to care for the animals, with flexible hours during the week)

We are looking for a Science and Animal Care Technician to join our Support Services Team at Kirk Hallam Community Academy.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has a passion for education and enjoys working with both people and animals. The ideal candidate will have scientific knowledge and wish to gain further experience working with animals or someone who has experience in the animal industry who would like to adapt to working within science. This support role will help students enrich their education through practical lessons.
We require this post holder to show safe systems of working, with meticulous attention to detail alongside organisational skills and the ability to deliver consistent quality and reliability in their work. A positive attitude is a must as well as self-motivation and initiative.
